Toyo Gakuen University Homestay English Lesson 3

Today we are going to continue talking about choosing a homestay. We often choose a place for a homestay because it is unique, or special. Let's look at a video made by Ronaldo Lima Jr. and his students in Brazil. Click this link: What makes Brazil a unique country?

I made a video about my hometown. Watch the video. What's special about Toronto?

Now let's do some review. Click the link:http://mrstoutsblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/toyo-gakuen-university-homestay-english.html

Finally, please write a comment. Tell us where you'd like to do a homestay and what kind of homestay family you would like.

  2. Hi Michael!

Thanks for referring your students to my students' work! And your video about Toronto looks great, I really think about visiting Toronto someday...

Let me know when your students' videos are ready and I can ask some of mine to comment.

  3. Fantastic video!

At first, I would like to introduce myself: I'm Ronaldo's student, from Brazil, and I love to know about other countries.

I've never visited Canada, but my friends who have been there told me it is a lovely place, mainly because its cold weather. I love basketball and Toronto Raptors is one of my favorite teams. I wish I could visit Toronto and watch at least one basketball game.

    Cheers!

  4. Hi Ronaldo and Guilherme!
Thanks for your comments. I'm delighted that you both would like to visit Toronto.
Guilherme, I'm surprised that you like the cold weather. I guess we like what we don't have. Most Canadians envy you because Brazil has very nice warm weather all year round.
As for the Raptors, well, they are having a difficult time this year. I hope they can improve.
    Cheers!

  10. Hello guys!
My name is Barbara and I am also a Ronaldo student. I have always wanted to visit Canada and I was really thinking about doing an exchanging program for there. My cousin has already done it and he enjoyed it very much, so I think I would like it too. Watching this video made me know more things about your contry, because I have never searched for pictures of Canada. Now that I have seen these pictures I am just delighted with the peaceful and wonderful life you must have. Although, the best part of the video was the one that shows that chocolate store, bacause I really consider myself a chocolate addicted.

  11. Hello!
I'm from Brazil, and I am also a Ronaldo's student. I've always wanted to visit Canada, and after seeing that video, I'm dreaming about it. I didn't know that there were so many cultures in Canada, and they seem to live together with no kinds of problem. One day, if I go to Canada, I hope to be able to visit the museums and know more about the canadian culture.

I've already been there, ad it is a beautiful city. CN Tower was breathtaking. I also enjoy the different architecture. Canada is a special place and I would love to go there again.
